Application for SURF 2025 Program

The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship is for University of Houston rising sophomore, junior, and senior students to participate in a focused, full-time, 10-week research experience under the direction of UH faculty. The SURF program provides a $4,000 scholarship to students. Continuing UH undergraduates with at least a 3.0 GPA will be awarded scholarships. Students graduating in spring or summer 2025 are not eligible.

To complete the SURF application, submit:

2. An unofficial transcript
3. Letter of Recommendation

In addition to submitting this online application form, a letter of recommendation from your faculty mentor is required for eligibility. The letter can be emailed to Katie Welsh at krwelsh@uh.edu.
