Required Items
All applications should include the following:
- A full length (3-5 pages) literary analysis with a central thesis and strong supporting arguments.*
- Extracurricular resume or list of interests and activities
- High school transcript and any college transcripts
- SAT/ACT scores**
If you have already sent transcripts and test scores to the Office of Admissions, it is not necessary to send a second copy to the Honors College; however, an unofficial transcript included with your supporting materials may expedite the processing of your application.
*The Honors College requires applicants to submit original work. Use of AI is not permitted and will be detected.
**University of Houston admissions requirements for spring, summer, fall 2025 are "test optional."
