Mellon Research Scholars - 2025 Application

Thank you for expressing interest in the Mellon Research Scholars program for juniors in the humanities at the University of Houston Main Campus. To be considered for participation in the spring 2025 - spring 2026 program, please complete the following online application. The application for the 2025 Mellon Research Scholars Program is due Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11:59pm.

One letter of recommendation from a UH faculty member is also to be submitted separately to Dr. Rikki Bettinger by Friday, January 31, 2025; see "How to Apply" for more details.

The Mellon Research Scholars Program at the University of Houston is funded by a grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Scholarships will be awarded to eligible juniors interested in conducting undergraduate research, pursuing graduate school within the humanities, and being part of an active multidisciplinary research and writing cohort. Junior status is determined by UH graduation date; students graduating in fall 2025 and spring 2026 are eligible to apply.
