2024 Honors College Retreat Registration

The 2024 Honors Retreat is August 15-16 at Camp Allen in Navasota, Texas. Your reservation is necessary to secure overnight accommodations and meals. A complete reservation requires submission of this form and the FERPA, photo and travel release forms which can be attached to this form or emailed to honorsretreat@uh.edu.

Camp Allen provides hotel-style accommodations. Students will share a room/bathroom with one to three other Honors student at Retreat. Transportation will be by chartered bus to/from UH. Individual transportation to Camp Allen is not permitted.

Students who RSVP after all slots have been filled will automatically be added to the wait-list to attend Retreat. Students will be notified of any changes to their status via email.

The cost of the retreat is underwritten by the Honors College; however, you will incur a cancellation fee if you fail to cancel your RSVP with appropriate notice.

Cancellation Policy:
The deadline to cancel your RSVP with no penalty is July 12 at midnight CDT. Cancellations that occur between July 15 and August 1 (at midnight CDT) will incur a $25 cancellation fee. Students who cancel after August 1 or do not show to Honors Retreat will incur a $50 fee.

Students who require an early move-in can sign up on this form below to move-in on Wednesday, August 14. The move-in date will be updated in the housing portal in early August. A fee equal to the amount of the 'daily rate' will be added to your account. (Cougar Village fee is $29.48). This early move-in fee is non-refundable after August 1.

A long-standing tradition at the Honors Retreat is a student talent show on the evening of the first day of Retreat. Students sing, dance, tell jokes, play a musical instrument, hula hoop, tell puns, or share other unique talents!
