2025 Honors College Retreat Registration

The Honors Retreat marks the beginning of each new academic year and is an excellent way for new incoming Honors College students to meet upperclassmen, faculty, staff, and alumni. The retreat provides you with the opportunity to become a member of the Honors College community before classes begin.
The 2025 Honors Retreat will be held Thursday, August 21 – Friday, August 22, at Camp Allen in Navasota, Texas. Your reservation is necessary to secure overnight accommodations and meals.

Camp Allen provides hotel-style accommodations. Students will share a room/bathroom with one to three other Honors students at Retreat. Transportation will be by chartered bus to/from UH.

Honors College Retreat is a free event. The deadline to RSVP for Retreat is July 1 or once the event reaches capacity.

Students can cancel their Retreat RSVP before July 18 with no charge. Cancellations between July 18 and August 1 will incur a $25 fee, and cancellations after August 1 will incur a $50 fee.

Honors Follies -- A long-standing tradition at the Honors Retreat is a student talent show on the evening of the first day of Retreat. Students sing, dance, tell jokes, play a musical instrument, hula hoop, tell puns, or share other unique talents!
